WELCOME!

We are glad to announce that next September 19.20.21 will be organized ATAD 2019, Second International Conference on Assistive Technology for Persons with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities. The Conference will be held in Rome and will address issues such as the development and assessment of new technology-aided programs for supporting communication in people with intellectual and multiple disabilities; the use of telemedicine to support the implementation of specific intervention programs aimed at increasing self-control and reducing problem behaviors in people with mild/moderate intellectual disabilities; the use of robots to promote interaction, communication and task performance in children with autism spectrum disorders; the use of eye tracking for determining stimulus preference in individuals with severe/profound and multiple disabilities, and the use of various technology aids to alleviate cognitive and behavioral disorders of individuals with acquired neurological impairments. The Conference will involve the participation of international speakers who are well known researchers in the areas of Assistive Technology and Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities as well as a group of italian scientists with a recognized history in the use of Assistive Technology in education and rehabilitation. We believe that the Conference will be of great interest for professionals working in those areas.
